An extraordinary origin story
The collaboration between Arnold Schwarzenegger and Audemars Piguet began in the late 1990s with the film "End of Days." For the shoot, AP initially developed a watch as a prop, a non-functional prototype.
But the design was so well received that Audemars Piguet decided to release a limited series of the Royal Oak Offshore "End of Days" in black and yellow. A legend was born.
More models followed, including one for the premiere of "Terminator 3." The monumental T3 model with a titanium case (61 × 57 mm!) deliberately referenced design elements from Panerai, a nod to Arnold’s well-known passion for the brand. The distinctive "Panerai-style" guards protected not only the crown but also the chronograph pushers.

In January 2024, Arnold Schwarzenegger made headlines again when he failed to declare an Audemars Piguet at Munich Airport. The watch was intended for a charity auction benefiting his climate protection initiative.
About 35,000 euros had to be paid in back taxes, and a tax investigation was launched.
Even decades after "Terminator," an AP still makes headlines.
