IWC presents the new Portofino Automatic 34 Day & Night

The Portofino with its minimalist pocket watch design has been an integral part of the IWC Schaffhausen collection since 1984. This year IWC is introducing two new models in the Day & Night 34 series that display the time of day and night. Despite its built-in complication, the Portofino Automatic 34 Day & Night has a height of 8.9 mm and a diameter of just 34 mm. It owes its approximately 50-hour power reserve to the automatic winding 35180 caliber with 24 jewels and a frequency of 28,800 A/h (4.0 Hz). It is water resistant up to 5 bar and does not have a screw-down crown. At 6 o'clock there is a small disc for the day and night display. Either the sun or the moon appears in the upper area at midday or midnight. Rhodium-plated and gold-plated feuille hands and indices show the time with the diamond hour markers. The cases are held on the wrist by high-quality calf leather straps with a quick-change mechanism and a folding clasp.

The IW659801 has a polished stainless steel case on a blue calfskin strap. Rhodium-plated hands and indices show the time on a blue dial. A diamond-set bezel makes the Portofino sparkle. The polished stainless steel case of the IW459801 has a polished stainless steel bezel. A light argenté-colored dial with warm gold-plated red gold, Feuille hands and indices harmonize with the dove-colored leather strap with folding clasp. You can also find the sparkling diamonds for the hour markers here. The IW659802 with the exclusive 18 carat red gold case is surrounded by a diamond bezel. An argenté-colored dial is accompanied by gold-plated hands and indices. A dove-colored calfskin strap with a red gold folding clasp completes the picture.
The quick-change system on the belts makes it possible to change the belt without tools.
