Light and dark – day and night

The IWC Portofino Automatic Moon Phase dark watch is available on the market under the reference IW459402. This has a rich blue dial. The hands and indices are rhodium-plated, which means they stand out from the dial and give the watch pure elegance. The moon of the moon phase display is silver and stands out against the blue night sky and the blue dial. In this model the strap is a black alligator leather strap and is also closed with a pin buckle.

The similarities between the models

Of course, the two IWC Portofino Automatic Moon Phase models only differ in their external appearance. In both, however, the caliber 35800 lies beneath a stainless steel base. This caliber has a power reserve of up to 42 hours. But it's not just the base that is made of stainless steel. The 40 mm case, polished bezel and crown are also made of stainless steel. The dial of the watch is protected by sapphire crystal.
