One of the new watches released by Rolex at the beginning of autumn is the Sky-Dweller in 42 mm with reference 326238. For the first time, it is equipped with an Oysterflex bracelet made of elastomer and thus offers the wearer the best possible wearing comfort. The new watch is particularly impressive with its striking black dial with a radial cut. You can clearly see the Sky-Dweller typical display of the second time zone. This is in 24 hour format and is particularly easy to read thanks to its central placement.
Aesthetically and functionally together
The new Sky-Dweller reference 326238 offers good and long-lasting readability, especially due to the clear contrast of the indices and hands (except the second hand) to the dial thanks to the Chromalight coating. The dial is surrounded by a yellow gold bezel. This, called Ring-Command, has the familiar ribbing and can be rotated in both directions. In the middle of this is the particularly scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, with an additional cyclops magnifying glass for better readability of the date. The Sky-Dweller case is made of 18-carat yellow gold. The case back is screwed and the winding crown can also be screwed. It is provided with 2 seals. The watch is waterproof up to a pressure of 30 bar.
The highest art of watchmaking
The caliber used in the Sky-Dweller reference 326238 is the 9001. This comes entirely from Rolex's own factory. It enables the display of seconds, minutes and hours as well as the date with automatic quick correction and the simultaneous display of another time zone. The respective month can also be seen on the outer edge of the dial. As with the other Rolex models, the oscillator consists of a paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring. Everything is held in place by the high-performance Paraflex anti-shock system. The new Sky-Dweller has a power reserve of approximately 72 hours.
