Above the clouds with the new Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43 Boeing 747

In 1952, Willy Breitling developed a Chronograph with a circular slide rule, marking the birth of the first Breitling Navitimer and the original pilot's watch. Not only worn by pilots for flight calculations, but also by civilians. Now Breitling is launching the new Navitimer Chronograph 43 Boeing 747. A tribute to the aircraft that made its maiden flight in 1969 and revolutionised long-haul flight.

Technical data

The mechanical self-winding Breitling 01 manufacture movement ticks away inside the 43 mm stainless steel case of the watch with a power reserve of up to 70 hours. The screwed-in sapphire crystal case back provides a magnificent view of the movement. The Chronograph with ¼ seconds, 30 minutes and 12 hours, as well as the internal slide rule and the bezel that can be turned in two directions, offers its wearer a great deal of "skill in calculating" distances and times. However, the Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43 Boeing 747 is not designed for the water. It has a non-screw-down crown and a water resistance of up to 3 bar.

The new Breitling Navitimer B01 Chronograph comes with an optional black alligator leather strap, reference AB01383B1G1P1, or with the familiar seven-piece stainless steel bracelet, reference AB01383B1G1A1. The colour design of the new Chronograph was inspired by the colours of the Boeing 747, with the dial in cream, the sub-dials in black, the inner slide rule scale in red and, of course, the blue accents. The date display is located at 6 o'clock. The design of the dial is rounded off by the gold-coloured Breitling wings (AOPA wings), which the original pilot's watch already had. Another tribute detail can be found on the sapphire crystal case back. There, "one of 747" has been engraved and the lettering "The original Jumbo-Jet" has also been incorporated.
