In 2021, the Explorer series from the Swiss luxury watch manufacturer Rolex will also be getting new variations. This also includes a version with an 18-carat yellow gold bezel and the stainless steel and yellow gold bracelet with the reference 124273. Originally introduced in 1953 and changed and enlarged over the decades to 39 mm in diameter, the diameter of the new Explorer is again 36 mm. This makes the watch appear much more compact and still offers the best readability regardless of any conditions and external influences.

Optical elegance in perfection

The readability mentioned is achieved as best as possible thanks to the long-lasting blue luminous material used in the indices and the Arabic numerals 3,6 and 9. The luminous material can also be found on the hour and minute hands. The black dial provides a contrast. The Explorer is particularly weather-resistant thanks to the stainless steel used in the case in combination with the sapphire watch glass. The crown is equipped with two seals based on the requirements of the watch. The new Explorer I reference 124273 is waterproof up to 10 bar.

The power from within

The Rolex Explorer I reference 124273 is powered by the 3230 caliber, which is completely developed and produced by Rolex itself. Thanks to the built-in spring bearing, the watch has a power reserve of around 70 hours and is therefore ideal for long expeditions. This is also accompanied by the precision of the new Rolex timepiece. +/- 2 seconds day and night is an excellent value for a wristwatch. This is measured after the clockwork has been cased.
