With the new Rolex Datejust 36 reference 126200, Rolex is bringing a slightly modified version of the previous model, the 116200, onto the market. The 36 mm case is made of 904L stainless steel, which is also often used in space travel. Its excellent corrosion resistance makes it comparable to other precious metals. Also made with 904L stainless steel is the cambered bezel and bracelet. With the Datejust models you can choose between the five-row Jubilé bracelet or the three-row Oyster bracelet, each with the Oysterclasp folding clasp.

Small changes for continuous improvement

The in-house caliber 3235 ticks away in the Rolex Datejust 36. This caliber is equipped with the Chronergy escapement, which makes the watch insensitive to magnetic fields. The power reserve has also increased to up to 70 hours thanks to the new generation caliber. Thanks to the screwed winding crown, the 126200 is waterproof up to 10 bar. One change that only becomes apparent upon closer inspection is that the minute track on the outer edge has changed. Now designed as an open minute track and no longer like its predecessor, where it was designed like a railway track. Of course, the date window with the cyclops magnifying glass remains.

Simple colors for an elegant appearance

The Rolex Datejust 36 is currently available in four dial variants. Classic in black and silver, each with indices. If you like a little more color, the watch is also available with a blue dial, also with indices. The indices and hands are made from 18 carat gold at Rolex. Here with the Rolex Datejust 126200 in white gold. So that you can read the time easily even in darker conditions, the indices and the hands are all covered with blue Chromalight. The last dial variant is available in white. Instead of indices, there are Roman numerals, which are also made of 18 carat white gold. This guarantees that the indices, numbers and hands do not tarnish.
