The new Rolex Explorer I variants that were introduced in 2021 include, in addition to the Explorer with a yellow gold bezel, also a version with a stainless steel bezel. The highly polished bezel gives the new Explorer a very special touch. In addition, the stainless steel material used is extremely robust, and not just on the bezel. The diameter of this timepiece with the reference 124270 is 36 mm, the same as the version with the yellow gold bezel. The watch is delivered factory fitted with the Oyster bracelet. However, this can still be adjusted according to the customer's wishes, and the choice is free as with all other Rolex models.
Be prepared for anything
The mentioned special resistance of the new Rolex Explorer reference 124270 to external influences is not solely due to the stainless steel. The water resistance of up to 10 bar thanks to the built-in 2 seals (Twinlock crown) and the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal complement this feature even more. The easy readability of the indices and Arabic numerals 3,6 and 9 are the icing on the cake. This can be guaranteed by the particularly long-lasting blue luminous material in the indices and hands.
COSC certified chronometer
The new Rolex Explorer with the reference 124270, like the other timepieces from the Swiss luxury watch manufacturer from Geneva, is certified by the independent testing center COSC. This can be recognized by the green seal that you receive with every new Rolex. One criterion for certification is accuracy. +/- 2 seconds a day measured after the clockwork has been cased is the optimal proof of the precision you can expect. This can be achieved thanks to the caliber 3230, developed and built by Rolex itself. Thanks to the built-in spring bearing, the new Rolex Explorer also has a power reserve of around 70 hours.
