The uniqueness of the dial
What truly makes the Hulk unique is its intense green sunburst dial. Depending on the light, it shifts between deep fir green and bright emerald. This color scheme is exclusive to the Hulk – no other Rolex model combines dial and bezel in this rich green.
Added to this is the green Cerachrom bezel: extremely durable, color-stable, and a real eye-catcher – without losing elegance.
Inside ticks the proven Caliber 3135, a reliable automatic movement known for precision and robustness over the years.
Where does the name "Hulk" come from?
As often with Rolex, the nickname did not come from the manufacturer but from the fan community. The combination of the massive Maxi case and the striking green color immediately reminded many of a certain superhero with anger issues – the Incredible Hulk.
And honestly: if it's green, then really green.
2020: The green giant says goodbye
In 2020, the Hulk was discontinued. Its indirect successor: the Submariner 126610LV, affectionately called "Starbucks" by fans.
It returns to the black dial – combined with a green bezel.
Back to the roots, one might say.
But the Hulk remains a coveted collector's item:
Significantly increased in value, fiercely contested on the secondary market – and long a cult in collector circles.
