Tudor presents the Tudor Black Bay Pro and is launching a watch with a new look and new technology. The Tudor Black Bay Pro complements the Black Bay series with another sporty and durable wristwatch. 70 years ago, the members of the North Greenland expedition were equipped with Tudor models. The new Black Bay Pro is reminiscent of these instruments worn by the pioneers of research and science. The watch has a case diameter of 39 mm and is equipped with a fixed stainless steel bezel. The case is made of satin-finished and polished stainless steel. With a water resistance of 200 meters, the Tudor is robust and waterproof. It can only be purchased with a black, grained dial.

Tudor manufacture caliber with GMT function

The timepiece is powered by the Tudor in-house caliber MT5652 and has a GMT function. The reference time is indicated by the square yellow “Snowflake” pointer. The “Snowflake” hand is a characteristic feature of Tudor watches. The local time is displayed by the shorter “Snowflake” hand, which can be set by a jumping hour and can be operated in both directions. There is also a date display at 3 o'clock, which is connected to the local time hand. A caliber with a second time zone was developed and produced for the Tudor Black Bay Pro. Tudor is able to integrate new features into proven and existing movements instead of using new modules. The Tudor has a multi-day power reserve of approximately 70 hours and is chronometer certified.

Three bands – three different looks

The watch is available in three bracelet versions. One with a black textile strap with yellow stripes, with the reference M97470-0002. The textile straps are a trademark of the traditional company and it was one of the first watch brands to use them. The textile ribbons are made in France on jacquard chairs from the 19th century. The bracelet is particularly comfortable to wear and, as usual from the luxury brand, is manufactured to a very high quality. The watch is also available with a riveted stainless steel bracelet with folding clasp, reference M79470-0001, which is reminiscent of the Tudor metal bracelets from the 50s and 60s. The bracelet has been improved and reissued using innovative manufacturing methods. The Black Bay Pro is also available with a hybrid rubber and black leather strap with a folding clasp, reference M79470-0003. The Black Bay Pro has a new satin-finished and polished clasp with a TUDOR “T‑fit” system for quick and easy adjustment of the bracelet length. The simple “T-fit” system offers five adjustment options and so the wearer can individually adjust the bracelet directly over a length of 8 mm.

The timepiece has many new and distinctive components, such as a grippy winding crown. The crown is mounted flush with the middle section of the case, so that the crown tube disappears. The hour indices on the dial are also an innovation, they are made of luminous monoblock ceramic and underline the look of the watch. Tudor remains true to its line and with the Black Bay Pro has created a watch with technical sophistication and expressive aesthetics.
