Tudor was initially entered in the commercial register in 1926 as a sole proprietorship “Verve de Philippe Huther”. The name was later changed to a stock corporation under the current name and the shares were taken over by Rolex SA, which Tudor initially used as a cheaper alternative to the parent company's noble products.
