  • Not just a watch for pilots

    The Breitling Navitimer 1 Chronograph GMT 46 is the successor to the legendary Navitimer World. With this chronograph, travelers and pilots can tell the time from home and their current location with just a glance. A 24-hour scale can be seen on the dial of the watch. This means that distinguishing between day and night is no problem. The time is displayed by the GMT hand. This has a striking red tip and is therefore also the splash of color on the dial. The largest world cities and the time differences are also engraved on the screwed case back.

    The Breitling 24 caliber is installed in its 46 mm case. With this caliber, the Breitling Navitimer 1 Chronograph GMT 46 has a power reserve of up to 42 hours. The unscrewed crown of the watch has two seals, making the chronograph waterproof up to a pressure of 3 bar. This Breitling Navitimer is also equipped with a cambered, double anti-reflective sapphire crystal, but the case back is made of stainless steel.

    The slide rule bezel of the Breitling Navitimer 1 Chronograph GMT 46 can be rotated in both directions and is made of stainless steel. The ribbing gives the bezel more grip and can be used in any situation. The case of the watch was also made of stainless steel. To ensure they can be read at all times, the indices and hands of the watch are coated with a luminous material. The date can of course also be easily read. There is a small date window on the dial, more precisely at the 3 o'clock position.

    Each hand of a Breitling watch is manufactured in complex production steps. They are first cut one by one from a brass strip and then finely ground with a diamond tool. They are then assembled and further refined. This is done through galvanic surface finishing. The hands are cleaned, degreased, rhodium-plated and then given several cleaning baths. Then comes the luminous material coating and a final visual check and the hands of the Breitling watches are finished.

    The A24322121B2P2 and the A24322121B2P1 models of the Breitling Navitimer 1 Chronograph GMT 46 are available with a black alligator leather strap. They both have a black dial and black subdials. The difference lies in the clasp of the bracelet. The A24322121B2P2 has a folding clasp, while the other model has a pin buckle. The two references A24322121B2X2 and A24322121B2X1 are also available with a black dial, but with a black calfskin strap. The first has a folding clasp and the second has a pin buckle. The A24322121B2A1 is equipped with a stainless steel bracelet and a folding clasp.

    If you choose a blue dial with blue subdials, you will again have a choice of different bracelets. Equipped here with a blue alligator leather strap, there is the A24322121C2P2 and A24322121C2P1. Each again in the distinction of the clasp on the bracelet. Even with the two models with a blue calfskin strap, such as the A24322121C2X2 and the A24322121C2X1, the difference lies in the closure of the watch. All leather bracelets have striking white contrast stitching. Of course, there is also a model with a stainless steel bracelet for the blue dial version, the reference A24322121C2A1 from the Breitling Navitimer 1 Chronograph GMT 46.
